Russell Baptist Church Worship Orchestra
"Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dane: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD." Psalm 150:3-6
The Worship Orchestra is our instrumental ministry that plays in our Sunday 11:00 a.m. and our 6:00 p.m. Worship Services. It is a group of called individuals who want to use their instrument of praise to lead people in worship along with our Sanctuary Choir.
The Worship Orchestra is made up of Students & Adults who have at least three years experience on their instrument. The Worship Orchestra meets weekly for rehearsals on Wednesday Night from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. We also meet Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary to prepare for the services.
The Worship Orchestra also has an opportunity to play with the Black Creek Baptist Association Worship Choir that our Music Ministry is a part of.
Membership requirements:
1. Pray and make sure you are called to the orchestra.
2. Must have played instrument for at least three years.
3. Must be of at least high school age.
4. Attend rehearsals.
5. Be faithful.
6. Practice at home to be prepared for services and rehearsals.
7. Contact Mr. Jimmy Weeks, Worship Leader in the event of absence of a performance or rehearsal.
